LINKS OF THE WEEK: Feb 12, 2024
Interesting stats on EVs and energy use in the US, developments in wind and tidal power, a plastic recycling microfactory, and an "unprecedented collapse" in EU fossil fuel generation.
Were people kinder and more virtuous in the "good old days"? (Spoiler: NOPE.)
I'm appreciating this study by Adam Mastroianni on people’s assumptions that people were more morally good in the past than they are today. Turns out the idea that people of previous generations were kinder and more decent is a false belief that humans have held for hundreds if not thousands of years.
The next time someone waxes poetic about "the good old days," I think I'll send them this link. 😁
